JMA Architects was hired to transform Veteran’s Park, in South Holland, Illinois into a state-of-the-art baseball/softball park complete with concessions, picnic grounds, playgrounds, a central entrance, and an operations building. The playing fields feature the Qwik drain system, a high performance surface drainage system designed to increase the wear tolerance, safety and playability of sports fields. This system decreases the amount of cancelled games and the high cost of renovation and downtime. The Home Plate Concession Stand features full service concessions (triple section sink, double section sink, warming areas), as well as a conference room and meeting rooms on the second floor, and public restrooms on the ground floor.
